Main Categories Of Gypsum Board

The main types of gypsum boards produced in my country include: paper-faced gypsum board, non-paper-faced gypsum board, decorative gypsum board, gypsum hollow strip board, fiber gypsum board, gypsum sound-absorbing board, and fixed-point gypsum board.
(1) Paper-faced gypsum board. Paper-faced gypsum board is a lightweight board made of gypsum slurry as the core and paper as the surface on both sides. Paper-faced gypsum board is light in texture, high in strength, fireproof, anti-insect, and easy to process. Ordinary paper-faced gypsum board is used for interior walls, partitions, and ceilings. Water-resistant paper-faced gypsum board that has been treated with fireproofing can be used for the walls of rooms with high humidity, such as toilets, kitchens, bathrooms, etc., where tiles, metal plates, and plastic facing bricks are laid.
(2) Non-paper-faced gypsum board. It is a new type of building board with superior performance as a substitute for wood. It uses building gypsum powder as the main raw material and various fibers as reinforcing materials. It is another new product that has been successfully developed after the widespread application of paper-faced gypsum board. Since the surface does not require the protective paperboard, the application range is expanded in addition to covering the entire application range of paper-faced gypsum board, and its comprehensive performance is better than that of paper-faced gypsum board.
(3) Decorative gypsum board. Decorative gypsum board is a board with various patterns and decorations made of building gypsum as the main raw material and a small amount of fiber materials, such as gypsum printed board, perforated ceiling board, gypsum relief ceiling board, paper-faced gypsum facing decorative board, etc. It is a new type of interior decoration material, suitable for medium and high-end decoration, with the characteristics of light weight, fire resistance, moisture resistance, easy processing, and simple installation. In particular, the new resin imitation facing waterproof gypsum board is covered with resin and the surface is imitation pattern. Its color pattern is realistic, novel and generous, the board has high strength, pollution resistance, and is easy to clean. It can be used to decorate walls, make wall panels and skirting boards, etc. It is an ideal material to replace natural stone and terrazzo.
(4) Hollow gypsum strip board Hollow gypsum board is a hollow board made of building gypsum as the main raw material, mixed with an appropriate amount of lightweight filler or fiber material. This board does not use paper and adhesives, and does not require a keel during installation. It is a lightweight board that is developing rapidly. It is mainly used for interior walls and partitions.
(5) Fiber gypsum board. Fiber gypsum board is made of building gypsum as the main raw material, mixed with an appropriate amount of fiber reinforcement material. The bending strength of this board is higher than that of paper-faced gypsum board. It can be used for interior walls and partitions, and can also replace wood to make furniture.
In addition to traditional gypsum boards, new products are constantly increasing, such as gypsum sound-absorbing boards, fire-resistant boards, insulation boards and gypsum composite boards. The specifications of gypsum boards are also developing in the direction of high thickness and large size.
(6) Plant straw paper-faced gypsum board. Different from ordinary paper-faced gypsum board, it uses a large amount of plant straw, making full use of local waste, which not only solves environmental problems, but also increases farmers' economic income, reduces the weight of gypsum board, reduces transportation costs, and reduces coal and electricity consumption by 30%-45%, which is fully in line with relevant national industrial policies.
In addition, the use of gypsum products is also expanding. In addition to being used as base lining, it is also used as surface decoration materials, and even as floor tiles, exterior wall substrates and wall core materials.
