Main Properties Of Gypsum Board

(1) Low production energy consumption. The unit production energy consumption of gypsum, the binder used to produce gypsum board, is 78% lower than that of cement.
(2) Lightweight insulation. The weight of gypsum board as a partition wall is only 1/3 to 1/4 of that of a brick wall. At the same time, due to the porous structure of gypsum board, its thermal conductivity is 0.30, which is superior to brick (0.43) and concrete (1.63).
(3) Excellent fire resistance. Since gypsum releases chemical water when heated, its fire resistance limit can reach more than 2 hours.
(4) Good decorative function. The surface of gypsum board is flat, and the boards can be firmly bonded together by the binder to form a seamless structure with good architectural decoration effect.
(5) Good construction performance. Gypsum board can be nailed, sawed, and glued, and is very convenient to construct. Using it for decoration can get rid of traditional wet operations and greatly improve construction efficiency.
(6) Comfortable living function. Because gypsum board has a unique "breathing" property, it has the ability to regulate indoor humidity, making living comfortable.
(7) High production efficiency. It is conducive to large-scale production. Among various building boards, gypsum board has the highest production efficiency and is easy to produce on a large scale.
(8) Low investment. Compared with fiber gypsum board and cement foam board, the production equipment of gypsum board can realize continuous mechanized production, so the equipment utilization rate is very high and the equipment investment is low.
